What is the difference between recession and
depression? A recession is not nearly as bad as a depression, although
the recession that we have been feels as bad as it can get. Recessions
tend to happen more frequently than depressions. There are many
technical reasons that will show the differences, but basically the
country's GDP or Gross Domestic Product has not decreased below 10%
which would classify as a depression. This is a good thing, but it
definitely doesn't make us feel any less painful.
