Recession
The new recession Print E-mail
--
Even with the auto makers and bankers in financial trouble due to the downturn in the economy, there are still many jobs that are recession proof. Even in today's poor economy there are certain fields of work that won't be affected. Nurses are in short supply worldwide. Whether it's registered nurses or licensed practical nurses, there will never be a job loss for this career. The health care system has always needed, and always will need, qualified people to work. Physicians, surgeons, physicians assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, certified nursing assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, medical record keepers, pharmacists, and anything else connected with health care are considered recession proof careers. Education workers such as teachers, secondary teachers, teacher's assistants, coaches, tutors, and anyone educated in this career will generally not have to worry too much about finding and keeping a job. You may have to relocate to an area where the demand is greater than where you are now, but the jobs are there and will continue to be so. Law enforcement is another career you might choose that is also safe from recession. There will always be crime of some sort, and there is always a need for people in this field. Whether it is a police officer, traffic cop, detective, probation officer,or private investigator, this field is open to anyone with the proper education. Other "safe' field of employment are court reporters, lawyers, paralegals, alcohol and gambling counselors, funeral directors, political careers, accountants, food service workers, debt collectors, debt management consulting,a career in the military, computer systems analyst, computer/ATM/ office machine repair, machinists, people skilled in technology, or cosmetology careers. In spite of how bleak the economy seems now, there are a lot of jobs that are safe and will continue to be so.
